Skye Sangsuwan, BS, Practicum Student, believes everyone has the power to create meaningful change in their lives and sometimes they need support in discovering where to start. Skye is committed to helping clients feel empowered for their choices, identify their needs, and develop practical strategies to reach their highest potential. Drawing from Reality Therapy and Choice Theory, she works collaboratively with clients to explore how their actions align with their goals and values, which allows them to make healthier and more fulfilling choices.
With hands-on experience in mentorship programs and volunteer work, Skye has worked closely with children, pre-teens, and teenagers, addressing challenges like anxiety, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. She is particularly passionate about supporting pre-teens and adolescents through critical life transitions, helping them build resilience and emotional awareness. Additionally, she incorporates mindfulness techniques into sessions to help clients stay present, manage stress, and develop a deeper connection to their thoughts and emotions.
Skye received a B.S. in Physiology from Brigham Young University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. Skye is dedicated to creating a safe inclusive space for individuals of all backgrounds and identities.
